The Franchise Brokers Association Exists to Raise the Bar for the Entire Franchise Broker Community

FBA Corporate StructureThe FBA was founded on the mission to provide ongoing support and assistance for business growth for the members of our Association.  We started out initially as a resource for brokers to connect to other industry leaders in order to work collectively in the franchise business. We are an Association, not a network or franchise. We do not charge royalties or share in commissions with our members; we are supported by our members who find value in being a part of our Association and who pay monthly dues for our ongoing support.

The business models of other organizations who offer Franchise Consultant Ttraining are different, requiring them to make their income by heavy training costs or sharing in the commissions of their brokers. We are currently supported by our franchisors who have contracts that pay our consultants directly. They pay us dues to be a part of our Association and have a monetary interest in delivering up-to-date valuable information to our paying members. We also provide membership for industry vendors, allowing you access to support organizations for your consulting business.  With this it affords us the ability to provide valuable services, such as legal & accounting consultation on each deal, as well as a long list of ongoing services we can support with this type of business model.

The FBA is an association dedicated to helping franchise brokers and consultants build thriving practices.  As the hub of the franchise community, the FBA sets the standard for the exchange of information among consultants, franchisors, funding sources and other essential resources so the clients of our community are served with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

The Intro to Franchise Consulting Workshop

Franchise Development

Franchise Development is a niche opportunity for consultants who are interested in earning healthy commissions ($13,000 and up) for referring companies interested in becoming a franchise. Often our brokers become internal representatives or area developers for the franchisor. Learn how FBA consultants have negotiated positions and territories, even earning residual income from royalties, with franchisors they have either brought to the FBA or helped develop into a franchise system.

FBA has teamed with Franchise Consultants, Inc. (FCI) to provide our brokers’ clients with the guidance and support necessary to franchise their business. Through the FBA membership, our brokers can offer their clients an initial, no-charge consultation with FCI to discuss the prospects of franchising their client’s business.

Community & Culture

FBA Community & CultureWe have a large, diverse group of brokers and consultants that possess a great deal of franchise knowledge and industry experience.  When the members share information, it improves our business community as a whole. 

We provide a member contact list to other FBA members, so they can share sales techniques, franchise information, and, in some cases, members will collaborate on a deal that may never have closed with just one broker.  We provide this list to open up communication among all members of the Association.


Mastermind Groups

The FBA coordinates monthly Mastermind Calls for members to meet and discuss current issues and topics that are affecting them in their business. The purpose of these monthly calls is to exchange ideas, offer different perspectives and provide support and solutions for the current climate of the industry. Each call is facilitated by a principal FBA consultant and trainer.

Industry Convention

FBA Annual ConventionThe Franchise Brokers Association's Annual Convention is the ONLY industry convention dedicated to bringing together the best brokers, consultants, franchisors, and industry professionals in franchising.  

The annual event was established to bring together all members of the franchise community to network, grow and solve issues in the industry. 

This three day event is packed with networking sessions, seminars, courses, trade show, speakers and more.  Each year the FBA brings together franchise industry leaders and innovators to generate the most valuable and relevant event trainings and information.   

The convention’s leading objective is to promote and sustain open discussion within the franchise community.  Communication and collaboration within the industry is pivotal in ensuring continued growth and advancement in franchising and franchise sales.

Certifications

The goal of the FBA Certification Program is to create a considerable competitive advantage when comparing a CFB consultant to a non-CFB consultant, by grossly increasing the knowledge base, professionalism and quality of consulting provided to a client. 

The program will give a well rounded franchise education to its trainees including topics such as ethics, FTC salescompliance, understanding of in-depth due diligence and franchise research, understanding of the psychology of a franchise sale, the basics of funding as well as many other relevant concepts. 

The program encourages collaboration, participation and involvement within this profession to stimulate the growth of not only the individual consultant but to the entire industry as a whole.  Through doing this we endeavor to train consultants to be the top producers in the industry while maintaining impeccable professional standards.

This is a journey where you will not only grow as a consultant or broker, you will also grow as a person.  You will be connected to the most respected franchise professionals in the field.  You will protect yourself from liability and you will understand the art of franchise selling.  We are here for you as you continue down that path and want to invite you to put your full effort and dedication into making your practice the absolute best it can be. 

Code of Conduct

The FBA, and its employees, strive to be an ever supportive network for the members within our community. This includes all of our brokers, consultants, franchisors and industry associates.  The FBA will continue to develop their network and resource center for the benefit of all its members and will consistently strive to be the best broker resource in the industry.

Members are expected to treat all others with respect and honesty.  All members should conduct business in an ethical way, as to always be proud of this Association and their membership.

Each individual should endeavor to be a positive and contributing member of the FBA. Members are expected to use the tools and resources to the best of their ability and to continually improve themselves as a member, as well as their interactions within the community and the industry as a whole.

When issues arise, the FBA will seek to resolve them in an unbiased and fair means for all. As an association we will focus on building partnerships and effective collaboration.  We will seek to understand all parties involved in the award process, by always asking and never assuming.  We will always keep the client's best interest in mind.

Our Story

The FBA is an Association of members who do everything franchising. The Franchise Brokers Association was organized and founded by Sabrina Wall who is a highly recruited, highly successful franchise broker and franchisee. Shortly after paying for a high cost training, with what she believed to be a reputable broker organization, Sabrina found she wasn't receiving any ongoing support or help. As a brand new consultant she was frustrated to learn there was no forum for new consultants to apply their new information or any vested interest in their success.

Sabrina quickly realized – if she was to be successful in this industry – she couldn't rely on the organization which trained her for support and business resources, rather, she needed to build her own relationships and forge her own path in a very disconnected business.

Sabrina went on to develop her own sales procedures and relationships to sell 13 franchises in her first year, well on her way to becoming a successful franchise consultant. Sabrina was quickly recruited as an inside sales rep for Franchise Consultants Inc (FCI), a franchise developer with over 20 years of experience, in addition to working her quickly growing franchise sales consultancy.  As many successful consultants do, Sabrina used her success to purchase two franchise concepts which she now runs as a passive owner.

Understanding that the lifeblood of the industry is leads, she found an incredible amount of what she was doing was tied to her proficiency in cultivating effective leads through the internet.  Her relationship with Developmental Marketing (an internet marketing and web design company) not only afforded her the ability to generate leads, but also launch a platform that allowed her to share her resources, her skills, and communicate with the community of other industry professionals.

Who:

Sabrina's success and strong, well-chosen network of professionals gave her the capability to found the Franchise Brokers Association in mid-2008.  All individuals that helped Sabrina start and build the FBA became, and continue to be, members of the FBA Board of Advisors (shown to the right).

Franchise Development:

With our exceptional team of founding board members we have the ability to do everything franchising. If you are a current successful business who wants to become a franchise we can look at the viability to develop your concept. Our team can then brand it, bring it to market for launch and sell it.

Franchise Listing:

As a current franchise who wants to sell your concept, we can train our hundreds of brokers to be your sales team. Using our technology we generate leads directly for them to cultivate and deliver you franchisees.

 

Initial Franchise Broker Training:


Top professional sales executives, business owners and franchisees are candidates for us to develop into franchise brokers with the FBA. We have the highest rate of success in the industry for training consultants to sell hundreds of the top franchises through our pre-negotiated contracts. This industry leading training is the first step in our development of franchise brokers. Brokers are not trained, they are developed with the FBA through ongoing support with our industry leaders; this is why we believe our brokers are so successful. Each potential sale has its challenges, we are there to help with each transaction to make your success easy and meaningful.

 

Growth:

Since its inception, the FBA has grown from the first industry association forum, and is now the pioneer in creating and maintaining resources and tools for the industry's professionals.  From building SEO and customizable websites for consultants, to producing alead generation co-op, from providing certification programs and mentoring, to producing the first franchise broker convention for the continued training and facilitation of networking, the FBA has been at the forefront in developing new systems and creating new industry standards. 

The FBA has doubled our staff in the last 12 months to sustain our incredible 30% increase in broker membership and almost 50% increase in franchisor referral contracts.  Competitive broker organizations are quick to point out we are a young company and claim we have little solvency.  The truth is, there is no other broker organization providing the total breadth and scope of services we offer in the franchising industry today!   We are an innovative company with proven success, unprecedented growth, and a highly sustainable business model. This fundamentally affords our vision of continuous broker support to flourish now and as we continue to grow in this dynamic industry.

The FBA prides itself on providing initial in-person training at our world corporate headquarters in Orlando, FL so our new members can see our operations and meet the people behind the site, tools and resources.  We are an organization that has changed the way the industry communicates and have aligned ourselves with industry leaders to ensure future success. Since the formation of the FBA, we have raised the bar for all other broker organizations that have now been forced to offer ongoing support and service, which makes the FBA's mission of broker support a success. We intend on continuing this mission expanding our service and support forcing the industry to follow.

The site is designed to be a complete web tool geared to get you ranked and generate you leads. Most importantly we don't redirect potential clients off of your website with advertisements. When a user fills out your contact form they will be sent an auto responder email (which you can edit at anytime through your account).  You are provided with not only the information they supplied but also with the referring website as well as a complete list of franchise concepts they researched.
