David Blount is one of these professionals. In fact, he was just named Executive of the Year Member by the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. David has been a Franchise Consultant and member of the FBA since October of 2013, and has helped educate and guide many people into their new careers as franchise owners. He brings 30 years of experience in sales and marketing to his franchise brokerage Eclectic Franchise Solutions, Inc.
David tells the FBA that what he loves most about his business is “being able to help people discover and enter the job of their dreams.” He recently just assisted a candidate get into a Jake’s Wayback Burger. David originally met his candidate through a traditional internet portal. The client was interested in getting into a food and beverage concept and already had several in mind. Through working with David they were able to narrow the list down to just a few, and ultimately over a time frame of six months they had settled on Jake’s Wayback Burger.
The client visited a local Jake’s and fell in love with the product. He was also very impressed with the store layout as well. He felt that the fact that the customer could see the food being prepared right in front of them really helped to communicate that the food was fresh. As with all franchise purchases, the time came for the Discovery Day. If you’re in the franchise industry, or if you’ve read my previous article, you understand the importance of a positive Discovery Day. David followed a common FBA practice and attended the Discovery Day with his candidate and assisted him through that process. There was a snag though. The candidate was on the fringes of being able to financially qualify for the concept! David helped to explain this to the franchisor and eventually Jake’s was able to help them come up with a creative solution and get the funding secured.
David Blount is also capitalizing on his FBA designation as a Franchise Immigration Specialist (FIS). He has partnered with agents in the Middle East and is helping people immigrate to the US through the E-2 and EB-5 programs. He is also working with several franchises here in the US and helping them to begin franchising in the Middle East. This level of service speaks to David’s credibility and professionalism as a Franchise Consultant. Since his beginning in 2013, he has continually found ways to innovate his business and capture his goal of helping others achieve their dreams.
