If we’ve learned one thing from last year’s events, it’s that our Members want even MORE!
As such, we’re embarking on an exciting new chapter in the story of FBA’s Regional Events. The 2024 itinerary is (and always will be) inspired by your feedback and our data-driven insights. We’ve seen how much you value the connections and learning opportunities these gatherings offer. And turns out, Brokers who get involved with the community perform better, too! That’s why, this year, we’re elevating and ramping up our Regionals like never before.
For the first time, we’re hosting at least one event each month, bar the busy stretch between October through December. That’s at least 9 extra events in 2024 – a significant leap from the 1 or 2 in previous years. This increase is a direct response to your enthusiasm and the clear benefits these meet-ups provide.
We’re also introducing a range of new brands to host these Regionals, offering you a chance to meet a more diverse group from our inventory!
Why is Attending Important for Brokers?
Imagine having an insider’s view, understanding each brand’s unique culture, process, marketing strategies, and technological edge. It’s like the difference between hearing about a theme park and actually walking through the gates of Disney – the experience is incomparable.
Moreover, through these events, you’re not just growing your knowledge but also building personal connections. You’ll have one-on-one time with CEOs of brands, meet franchisees first-hand, and become part of an interconnected community. Oh and for an added bonus, a majority of the expenses will be covered by our generous Franchisors (yes, like flights and hotel compensation)!
Why is Sponsoring Important for Franchisors?
For you, the Franchisor, these Regionals are a golden opportunity to showcase your brand directly to the people who can help grow your business. The more Brokers understand your business, the more effective they become at driving Territory Checks, boosting Formal Registrations, and significantly increasing Closed Deals.
Plus, these events are a chance to build relationships with Brokers throughout the year, not just at our Conference, creating a strong network that benefits your brand in the long run.
Your Guide to FBA’s 2024 Regional Events
For both Brokers and Franchisors, understanding the process is key to making the most of these opportunities. From the initial planning stages to the final farewell, every aspect of our Regionals is designed with your growth and engagement in mind.
The Broker’s Experience
Here’s a step-by-step guide to what you can typically expect at our with planning for and attending FBA’s Regional Events:
Pre-Event:
- Event Confirmation: Once FBA finalizes a Regional Event with a Franchisor, our Event Planner and/or Relations Officer will reach out to you with all the essential details: itinerary, room block link, and information about the airport you’ll be flying into.
- Registration and Communication: Depending on the size and scope of the event, we will begin reaching out to Brokers to get you registered and ready for the event. If the Franchisor offers flight reimbursements, you’ll receive a point of contact for this.
- Educational Webinar: To ensure you get the most out of the event, FBA will host a webinar focusing on how to engage effectively during the event – including tips on social media posting, networking, and utilizing the momentum in your sales process.
During the Event:
- Arrival and Networking: Upon arrival, you’ll check into your hotel room, followed by a meet-and-greet in the form of a cocktail hour or dinner, providing an excellent opportunity to network with other Brokers.
- Brand Presentation Day: The next day is dedicated to brand presentations. Here, you’ll dive deep into the brand’s core values, mission, vision, and get a detailed look at a day in the life of their franchisees. Topics like operational systems, training, marketing, and the entire discovery process will be covered comprehensively.
Post-Event:
- Duration: These events are typically a two-day trip, though this may vary based on the size of the group.
- Departure: After a fruitful couple of days of learning and networking, you’ll fly back home, equipped with new insights and connections!
The Franchisor’s Role
Event Planning:
- Broker Participation: When planning a Regional Event, you, the Franchisor, have the autonomy to decide how many Brokers you want to invite and manage your budget accordingly. Just let us know and our team will accommodate.
- Itinerary and Accommodation: If you have a specific itinerary and hotel room block in mind, communicating these details to FBA helps in smooth planning. However, if FBA’s event planner is required to arrange these, a fee will be applied. For more details, you can reach out to us.
Your Voice, Your Opportunity: Be Loud and Make it Count
As we wrap up our preview of what’s in store for the 2024 FBA Regional Events, there’s one crucial message we want every member to take to heart: BE VOCAL!
Your active participation and expression of interest are what will secure your spot at these gatherings. Some of our smaller Regional Events have limited spots for Brokers, and priority goes to those who make their interest known.
Brianna LaCaruba, our dedicated Event Planner, puts it perfectly, “Attending Regionals is the difference between almost closing a deal and actually closing it. Everyone is always saying they want to close more deals. Well, these events are your golden opportunity.”
“The organic relationships that foster from these events are life-changing for your business,” Rick Medina, our Membership Relations Officer added.
So, if you’re keen to be part of this exciting chapter, now is the time to open your 2024 calendar and agenda!
